April 2010 - Marbles!
Caitlin is tracked out this month, so to help fill the time Grandma Wright treated us all to a day at Marbles Museum in downtown Raleigh. Marbles is a children's museum with lots of hands-on fun. There is something for everyone there, right down to the infant play area that Calista visited. The girls drove a bus, then a car. Put on a play, and were taken to the hospital in an ambulance. After that they caught fish and picked vegetables for dinner. They played with trains and legos and even I was down for a little surfing! We all had a wonderful time and can't wait to see what else we can get into on our next visit!
April 2010 - Dancing Camryn
Camryn has been taking a dance class through Kinderdance and absolutely loves it! When she was told that there would be a recital she was super excited! She dressed in a pink leotard and tights, and the instructor, Ms. Mary, gave them tutus and headpieces. The dances were so cute! Camryn wasn't always doing exactly the right thing, but you could tell she was definitely enjoying herself! The class and recital was made even better because one of her best friends, Mollie, was there dancing right beside her. After the awesome performance, each girl was awarded a trophy that has a little golden ballerina on top. Camryn treasures this and loves to look at it and pretend that she is the ballerina on there!
April 2010 - Leo the Lion
Camryn got to bring her class "pet" lion home for a weekend. Leo had lots of adventures with the girls. First they had snack together and willingly shared with him. We didn't want him to go hungry, so we made t-bone steaks and water (out of construction paper). Camryn put him down for a nap wrapped tightly in a blanket with her favorite stuffed lion for comfort. Leo even got to spend the night with the girls at Grandma Wright's house! They took Leo for his first adventure at a McDonald's play land, and the next morning he got to swing, play and slide at a nearby park. We enjoyed our weekend with Leo so much that Camryn hated to take him back to preschool on Monday. But, at least we still have pictures to remind us of the fun weekend!

April 2010 - Hoppy Easter!
We had a great Easter this year! The day started off with a delicious brunch at Grandma and Grandpa Wright's house made by Grandma and Spencer. After that, the girls hunted for easter eggs in the back yard. Everyone got tons of surprise-filled eggs and Camryn even caught a little frog. After all of the eggs had been found, Spencer announced that he had captured the Easter Bunny, in an empty egg carton! haha Caitlin and Camryn slowly opened it up to get a peek at the bunny. Imagine their surprise, and how much Caitlin screamed, when a large frog jumped out!! Camryn quickly named the frogs Naveen and Tiana, after the main characters in The Princess and the Frog.
We took both of the frogs home and after playing with them and showing them to the neighbors, Brad and I decided that it would be best to let Naveen go and just keep Tiana. The girls all said goodbye to Naveen and watched him happily jump away. He must not have gotten very far, because we found him again just a few days later! It was then decided that we were meant to keep him since he found his way back. :) So, now we have two frogs that live in a tank in our spare bedroom!

April 2010 - Silly Monkeys
As the weather is getting much warmer, we have been enjoying time outside. Cassidy has started a new fashion trend among the girls. She wears her rain boots in the rain, and when it's a nice sunny day! The most creative outfit Cassidy has designed is a big plastic ring for a crown, her monkey swimsuit and of course some nice pink kitty boots! She felt this outfit was perfect for a nice run through the sprinkler. :)
March 2010 - Spring Break!
Caitlin's spring track-out conveniently falls when Camryn is out for spring break. :) Last year we went to Disney World, so this year we had to do something a little less expensive. We traveled to Gatlingburg, TN to meet Jeremy, Sarah, Deuce, Kayla, Laney and Josie for a few days of fun in the Smokey Mountains! We had a great time walking up and down the main street in Gatlinburg. The girls really enjoyed watching taffy being made, and of course sampling the goods. We also made the obligatory trips to the outlet mall. I think the men enjoyed this part the least. ;) Of course we also finally got a picture with all four of the girls in the fish tube at the aquarium! The highlight of the trip for the older kids though, was probably "swimming" in the hot tub every evening.

March 2010 - Cinderelly
As a special treat, Grandma Wright took Caitlin and Camryn to their first ballet. I was lucky enough to tag along as well! After fixing our hair and getting all dressed up, we headed to Raleigh to see The Carolina Ballet perform Cinderella. The girls loved the music and dancing, but didn't quite understand why no one was talking!
